    Op grafsteen staat: "SIMCHA BEN RABBI JOSEPH YECHIEL NOACH".!!!
    De Hebreeuwse naam van de vader van Salomon (Michiel Simon) als
    zijnde JOSEPH YECHIEL is een volkomen raadsel.
    Mogelijk is, dat Michiel Simon, volgens Joods gebruik,
    wegens ziekte, zijn naam veranderde.Dit is echter een
    veronderstelling waar geen enkel bewijs voor bestaat.

    Het Hebreeuwse YECHIEL voor MICHIEL is in overeenkomst met gebruike-
    lijke equivalenten zoals deze zijn opgesteld door G.Yaari Cohen.
    Dit strookt n.l.met de door G.Yaari Cohen opgestelde
    "Lijst van de meest voorkomende parallellen tussen de
    Hebreeuwse, Jiddische en Nederlandse vorm van
    eigennamen(INST./MAP.GEN.21), waar het equivalent van
    "YECHIEL"=Magiel,Michiel,Michael.

    2.-De eigennaam "SIMCHA", welke de Hebreeuwse, en vermoedelijk de enige
    eigennaam van Salomon Mozes Noach(mijn vader) was, was dus vermoedelijk
    in de familie niet uniek.

    De grafsteen van Mozes Simon Noach ("naam van zijn moeder MINDELE")
    (= Mientje Dormits) in Medemblik, is van Salomons kleinzoon Mozes Simon.
    Deze steen verwijst ook naar een Yechiel.D.w.z. dat Mozes Simon's vader, die
    een kleinzoon was van MICHIEL SIMON, en heette Simon Salomon, dus ook weer
    YECHIEL heette in het Hebreeuws.

    Bij het antwoord op zijn verzoek inzake kerkelijke
    inzegening van huwelijk dochter (=Helene-Leentje) met
    Mozes Samuel van Rijssen(niet aan voldaan wegens
    achterstallige schuld aan de gemeente) staat in
    het copieerboek nr.240 in de kantlijn DEN HEER S.J. NOACH
    (de J slaat dus vermoedelijk terug op JECHIEL als tweede Hebreeuwse
    naam).
