DEVENTER-GROOTHANDEL IN LOMPEN EN VELLEN, De zaak van de firma Noach was gevestigd in de panden waar nu, na ingrijpende
restauratie, de Stads-en Athenaeumbibliotheek is gevestigd.

Vele kleine inkopers brachten bij hen de opgekochte botten en vellen.
Hoogspanning heerste er als er na kerstmis de hazen en konijnenvellen
werden afgeleverd en op zolder werden gedroogd op spannen.
De goede vellen gingen naar de bontindustrie, via de firma Interlapin uit
Gouda van dhr.Mogendorff (zie hiervoor de Mogendorff file-MY #156-Izak Mogendorff).
De minder goede vellen werden gebruikt voor het maken van hoeden.

De groothandel werd gedreven door de drie zonen van Amsel:-
Isaac, Salomon en Hartog.
