Sijvert Bakker, alias Kuijper, was diaken te Beets (1755) en werd nog vermeld in de lidmatenlijst van 1759, met later bijschrift waaruit bleek dat hij met attestatie naar Edam vertrok. Hij leefde nog op 12 april 1783, toen hij grond verkocht aan zijn zwager Claas Schardam.
