Catharina Maria (Cato) van Deursen (1918-2016) was samen met haar man Aloijs Servaas Maria (Wies) Willems de uitbater en vele jaren het gezicht van café Van der Putten aan de Milhezerweg.

Cato was een dochter van Theodorus van Deursen (1882-1966) en Antonetta van den Eijnden (1881-1947).

Op 24 juli 1940 verliet Cato haar ouderlijk huis en verhuisde naar de Bredascheweg in Tilburg. Wanneer ze terug naar Deurne kwam, is niet bekend.

Cato werkte vóór haar huwelijk, waarschijnlijk tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog, als dienstmeid op het Groot Kasteel bij Theodore baron de Smeth (1919-1988), degene van wie haar vader de watermolen huurde.

Ze huwde in 1944 met Aloijs Servaas Marie (Wies) Willems, (Venraij 24 november 1918 - Deurne 26 augustus 1978), zoon van de landbouwer Leonardus Willems (1873-1948) en Johanna Janssen (1879). Zijn vader was afkomstig van Venray en zijn moeder van Broekhuizen. Wies was het pleegkind van Thomas van der Putten (1877-1956) en Maria Weerts (1884-1964) in de Walsberg.

Uit dit huwelijk werden drie kinderen geboren.

Cato was vele jaren behulpzaam bij het ziekentriduüm. Naast het drukke bestaan vond ze toch nog tijd om een van haar hobby's, het wandelen, te beoefenen. Zij nam onder andere deel aan de vierdaagse van Nijmegen, Israël en Zwitserland, uiteraard samen met haar hartsvriendin Miet Mastbroek.
Cato en Maria (Miet) Mastbroek-Hoonings (1915-2009) waren alles bij elkaar 65 jaar bevriend. Samen hebben ze vele uren in het café gewerkt.

Op 11 mei 2016, een dag na haar 98e verjaardag, overleed zij te Bakel.
