JACOB DUTMER, age 80, died yesterday afternoon at his home in Muskegon township, after a short illness. He was born in the Netherlands in 1937 [1837]. He came to this city from Chicago in 1864.

He is survived by his wife and five children: C. DUTMER of this city, MRS. HENRY SPOELMAN of Ravenna, JOSEPH DUTMER of Grand Rapids, MRS. JOHN HUIZENGA, Muskegon township, and TYS DUTMER of Grand Rapids. One brother, MARTIN DUTMER of this city, asister, MRS. KLAAS BROWER of Grand Haven, and 26 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.

The funeral will be held at the home of his son, C. Dutmer, 202 Spring street, tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. H. Bultema, pastor of the First Christian Reformed church, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery.
