doctor in de beide rechten, advocaat-fiscaal van Groningen 1632-1645, op 5 dec 1644 werd de stadssyndicus Bernard Alting "wegens zijn ergerlijk gedrag" afgezet en Roebers in zijn plaats aangesteld op 12 aug 1645, syndicus van de stad Groningen 1645-1652, vervulde in 1647 een gezantschap naar de stad Kampen, overl. 20 sep 1652, koopt predikantenbehuizing ten zuiden van Martinikerkhof op 14 feb 1632, "tegenw. bewoond door wed. wijlen pastoer Bernardus ende Roeleffien Tamminga. Met een goede put en een regenwaterbak. "met de camer daarachter, met een mandeelige muyr tusschen 't hooffien en professor Gomarus hoff; Popkenstr. ten oosten, de straet van de kercke ten noorden, professor Gomarus poorte en hoff ten zuiden en de woning van voors. profes­sor ten westen" voor ¦ 3025 (GAG, R.A. III, l 6, f. 228, zie ook M. Bolt, "De weemen van de St. Maartenskerk en van de St. Walburg te Groningen", Groningse Volksalmanak 1921, 14-40, p. 20), huwde 1) ca. 1617 Hadewij van Eg­munt, huwt 2) Groningen 1643 Susanna Renemans. Kinderen: uit het eerste huwelijk Derck ca. 1619, uit het tweede huwelijk Hadewije (12 jan 1644), Sara (18 mei 1645, zie 471), Catharina (2 okt 1646), Roebert (31 okt 1647), Jan (1 apr 1649), Robert (29 aug 1650), Catharina (27 aug 1651) en Catrina (4 nov 1652).

Ten aanzien van Derck wordt op 31 okt 1643 een contract opgemaakt tussen de voogden Otto Engelberts en Johan Roberts over de zoon van de "erent­veste hooghgeleerden Doctoris Roberti Roberts sijn huisvrouwe gepro­creert", enerzijds en Robert Roberts anderzijds, dat Derck Robers, 24 jaar oud, door Robert Roberts eerlijk zal worden onderhouden, en dat hij zijn studie zal laten continueren, alles op zijn eigen kosten. Roberts stelt 4000 caroliguldens ineens ter beschikking daarvoor, mits de zoon daarnaast zal genieten een diamanten ring (GAG, R.A. III x 23).
