Jierboekje 1980, blz. 32 : Op 17 febr. 1601 wordt Egbert Folckerts genoemd met zijn zwager Jarich Gerbes, evenals op 12 febr. 1602. (RA KOL B5 en H5): Uit dit proces blijkt dat Egbert en zijn zwager Jarig Gerbens voor het binnenhalen van de oogst gebruik maken van een laan van Joutsma-saete. Gaele Brugts, bezitter van deze sathe ontzegt hun het recht daartoe. Het komt zelfs tot een handgemeen, waarbij de zwagers Gaele "in de sloot stoten". Op 6 nov.1605 wordt hij vermeld met zijn broers Anne en Wijbe, i.v.m. benoeming van curatoren over de kinderen van Folckert Wabes, weduwnaar van hun zuster Jets, uit zijn tweede huwelijk met Lijfke Pieters (RA KOL E2). Op 2 okt. 1616 is er inventarisatie in zijn sterfhuis te Kollumerzwaag omdat zijn weduwe Ancke Gerbedr. is hertrouwd met Jan Siurdts. Tot voogd over de kinderen wordt zijn broer Wijbe Folckerts benoemd; die kinderen zijn: Gerbe, geboren 1599 / 1600, Folckert, geboren 1601 / 1602, Bauck, geboren 1604 / 1605, Sijbe, geboren 1608 / 1609; Jarigh, geboren 1611 / 1612 en Anne, geboren 1613 / 1614. Het sterfhuis is groot ongeveer 3 1/2 vak; erbij horen een nieuwe schuur van drie gollen (hooivakken) en twee hoven. De sate land omvat bouw- en grasland, venen en leijen. Daarnaast zijn er 16 mad mieden, waarop een huis, en 5 mad onbehuisd. Verder is er 1/4 aandeel in een sate te Twijzel. De weduwe bevestigt de aangifte bij verklaring i.p.v. eed. Over de erfenis is tussen de curator, de moeder en de stiefvader "schelinge"en kwestie ontstaan. Vier buren treden op als scheidslieden. De erfenis van de kinderen wordt in totaal vastgesteld op 556 gg waarvan de afrekening zal plaats hebben bij het bereiken van de 16-jarige leeftijd (RA KOL P5).
