Notes about Johannes Klaasz VERLOOP


Doopgetuige (op 20 mei) was Jannigje van Wijen. Hij was nog woonachtig in Alblasserdam bij het overlijden van zijn vader in 1814 (en timmerman) en ook bij de doop van Jan, zijn jongste kind in 1815. Opmerkelijk is dat bij de doop van zijn vele kinderen n‡ 1799 hijzelf optreed als enige doopgetuigeÖ. en niet de gebruikelijke ooms, tantes en grootouders, etc. Daarna (>1815) in Utrecht was hij achtereenvolgens eigenaar van een smederij, timmerman, molenbouwer, architect en aannemer van grote bouwwerken.

Hij was tweemaal gehuwd; 1) Meijntje Corporaal (1786; met zoon Cornelis) en 2) Fijgje van der Es(ch) (1792; met 13 kinderen waarvan acht volwassen werden). Via zijn zonen Cornelis (1e huwelijk) en Johannes, Teunis, Cornelis (ìCornilî) en Jan (2e huwelijk) is zijn mannelijk nageslacht voortgezet tot in de huidige tijd.

Hij is de stamvader van de Verloop-takken in Utrecht, ít Gooi, Amsterdam, e.o. Zijn zoon Cornelis (ìCornilî) is de stamvader van de Verloop-tak in noord-west Frankrijk.
