Cornelis Claesz Verloop, timmerman, was "gegoed" te Groot-Ammers in 1737 en op de lidmatenlijkst daar in 1741 en 1749, samen met zijn echtgenoot Niesje Braanker. Zijn naam werd soms ook gespeld als "Voorloop" (CBG).

Bij een boedelinventaris van ene Cornelis Vonk in 1748 te Moerkapelle wordt hij genoemd: "...o.a. obligaties: .... ten laste van Cornelis Voorloop en zijn vrouw Niesje den Braanker." Hij werd ìpro deoî begraven.

Hij is de stamvader van alle huidige Verloop-en behalve de drie takken ìHoeksche Waardî.
