Uit bev.reg. Groningen:
Op 5 feb. 1879 vertrekt zij vanuit het ouderlijk huis op 21-jarige leeftijd naar Delfshaven. Ruim zesenhalf jaar later, op 20 okt. 1885, komt ze terug naar Groningen, vanuit Rotterdam. Ze woont dan in de Frederikstraat, bij haar stiefmoeder Klaziena Sebens, haar halfbroers Jan en Harm en haar halfzuster Cornelia Klaziena. Vader Cornelis was drie maanden daarvoor, op 5 sep., overleden.
Op 6 nov. van hetzelfde jaar trouwt zij met Berend en op 21 nov. vertrekt zij naar Franeker.
