Johannes Burggraav j.m. van Breda, cadet onder de Comp. van de Heer Thymen van Volberg, alhier in garnisoen, huwt met Maria Turcq van Bergen, alhier woonagtig. Hij heeft cosent van zijn moeder ende van zijn capiteijn. In 1713 te Tholen treedt Jan Burghgraef toe tot "het Vettewariers en Kramersgilde". In het Register van Requesten staat op 8 december 1727 ingeschreven: "Op den requeste van J. Burggraaf om herberge te mogen houden, in dezen apostille verleent Burgemeester, Schepenen ende Raden der stad Tholen metten ambagte van Schakerloo, naer voorgegaane examinatie van desen requeste permitteeren den suppliant herberg te houden, onder Eede daartoe staende: Actum ut supra my present (w.g.) Bodel"
