Otto I (Osto) heer van Born (bij Bruggen) huwt Petronilla van Wassenberg /Limburg, een van de 4 dochters van hertog Hendrik de Oude van Limburg (+1221) en van Sophia van Saarbrucken. Petronilla ?s huwelijksinbreng bestond o.a. uit de hof Scharphusen in Ophoven en de kerk aldaar die gebruikt wordt voor de stichting van het vrouwenklooster Ophoven in 1196. Hendrik van Kuik, bisschop van Luik, schenkt het klooster in 1196 de rood-tiend in het gehele dekenaat Wassenberg. Na 1218 behoort het klooster tot de cisterciensers.
