Als eenmanskantoor vestigt Willem Anne van Traa zich aan de Wijnhaven in Rotterdam. In 1940 gaat het kantoor bij het bombardement verloren. Vanaf die tijd betrekken drie compagnons een kleine ruimte in het huidige pand Minervahuis II. De naam Van Traa wordt in die tijd definitief gevestigd. Hans van Traa, de zoon van Willem Anne, weet een reputatie op te bouwen in de transportpraktijk.
