Catharina en Frans krijgen 8 kinderen waarvan er twee op jonge leeftijd overlijden.

 

Als zij 48 is overlijdt haar man. De 2 oudste dochters wonen niet meer thuis, Johannes Jacobus is zeevarende en Franciscus Laurentius zit op kostschool bij de broeders van Saint Louis in Oudenbosch.

 

In hetzelfde jaar van overlijden van haar man vertrekt zij met de jongste kinderen naar Leiderdorp, daarna naar Stompwijk. Enkele jaren later vestigt zij zich in Wormerveer of Uitgeest. Hier is zij koffiehuishoudster. Volgens mondelinge overlevering zou zij de uitbaatster zijn geweest van de stationsrestauratie van Uitgeest.
