Café Halfweg is nu helemaal opgeruimd. 68 jaar lang heeft het gediend als café en stond tot ver in de omtrek bekend en steeds onder beheer van de familie Smets. Wegens het doortrekken van de Midden Peelweg moest café Halfweg gesloopt worden. Het werd allemaal gemakkelijk gezegd en ook gemakkelijk gedaan, maar Sjraar Smets, de beheerder van Halfweg moest toch maar wat anders zoeken. Welaan, hij heeft dit gevonden in Grashoek waar hij de beschikking heeft gekregen over zaal Naus aan de Past. Vullinghsstraat. Deze zaal is helemaal omgetoverd in Brabantse stijl met een glanzende parketvloer. Op vrijdag 24 augustus gaat deze bar-dancing open en wordt ten doop gehouden onder de naam „ROMANTIKA." Vanaf 6 uur n.m. kunt u Sjraar en Fien gaan feliciteren zo u wilt, want iedereen is van harte welkom. In deze dancing wordt uitsluitend stemmings muziek gegeven, dus geen beatmuziek, zodat ook ouderen hier terecht kunnen voor een gezellige avond.
