    Hij werd geboren op 20 maart 1878 te Werkhoven en overleed op 27 augustus 1963 te Werkhoven na voorzien te zijn van de H.H. Sacramenten der Stervenden en werd begraven cp 31 augustus d.a.v. op het R.K. Kerkhof aldaar.
    God, die hemel en aarde hebt gebouwd, Gij hebt aan onze vader als levenstaak gegeven U te eren door het werk van zijn handen: het bouwen van woningen voor Uw kinderen, meebouwen aan de kerk voor Uw eredienst - maar bovenal door het bouwen aan zijn gezin.
    Wij danken U dat Gij ons een vader hebt gegeven. die het huis van zijn ge_in sterk heeft gegrondvest up het geloof, verankerd in de hoop en samen gehouden door de liefde. En toen hij, tot hoge ouderdom gekomen, niet meer bouwen kon, hebt Gij hem gegeven vele jaren veilig te wonen in de toewijding van moeder en van zijn kinderen.
    Nu is vader van ons heen. Met de woorden der H. Kerk vragen wij U voor hem dat hij na het uiteenvallen van de aardse noodwoning in de hemel een eeuwig tehuis mag verwerven. En dat het door hem gebouwde gezin onwrikbaar mag blijven gegrondvest op hef geloof dat hij ons voor hield verankerd in de hoop die zijn leven moed gaf en samengehouden door de liefde, die hem bezielde: de liefde tot U en tot onze moeder.
