In het Ondertrouwboek Groningen 1763-1769, folio 102v staat het voorgenomen huwelijk geregistreerd van Jannes Dilling, van Groningen met Jantje Ferre, van Groningen; waarvoor registratie plaatsvindt door Harm Dijken als zwager. In de diverse alktes wordt de achternaam van Jantje vermeld als Free, Ferver, Ferre en De Free.
Uit dit huwelijk worden 7 kinderen geboren en gedoopt in Groningen: 1. Anna op 9 maart 1766, 2. Albert op 22 augustus 1767 en overleden voor 1772, 3. Derk op 22 januari 1769, 4. Albert op 9 april 1772, 5. Harmannus Ferree op 10 maart 1775, 6 Anna op 28 juli 1776 en 7. Etje op 3 maart 1779.
