Op 27 julii 1729 is het huwelijk door Dom. Folkers in de A-Kerk voltrokken.
Uit dit huwelijk zijn acht kinderen geboren in Groningen en gedoopt: 1. Annigjen op 7 juni 1730 en overleden voor 1732, 2. Annegijn op 1 januari 1732, 3. Jan op 9 februari 1734, 4. Albert op 25 oktober 1737, 5. Berent op 1 april 1740, 6. Geertruid op 27 maart 1744, 7. Daniel op 17 november 1746 en 8. Hilligjen op 20 september 1750. Zij hebben gewoond in de Oude Ebbingestraat, de Nieuwe Boteringestraat en de Boteringestraat in Groningen. In de diverse aktes wordt de achternaam van Hillegien geschreven als Dilling, Dillinge, Dillingh en Dillings.
