Het voorgenomen huwelijk van Derk Geerts Roemers, van Groningen met Lammigje Jacobs, van Helpman, pro qua Jacob Berents als vader wordt op zaterdag 22 april 1769 geregistreerd in het Ondertrouwboek Groningen 1763-1769, folio 270. Op 19 mei 1769 wordt het huwelijk voltrokken in de Nieuwe Kerk in Groningen door ds. De Blau.
Uit dit huwelijk worden twee kinderen geboren:
1. IJda (Ida) Derks Roemers, geboren en gedoopt in Groningen op 18 maart 1770. Ida Derks Roemers trouwt op 19 mei 1805 in Groningen met Derk Lukas Oosterveld (1760-1840). Ida Derks Roemers is overleden, 57 jaar oud, op 9 november 1826 in Groningen.
2. Jakob Derks Roemers, gedoopt op 3 november 1772 in de Martinikerk en geboren buiten de Herepoort in Groningen. Jacob Roemers, van Groningen trouwt op 9 december 1798 in Groningen met Elizabeth Geerts (Blank), van Hoogezand. Jacob Roemers overlijdt, 67 jaar oud, op 14 april 1840 in Groningen.

Na de dood van Derk in 1775 hertrouwt Lammigje Jacobs met Gerrit Geerts, van Donkerbroek op 21 mei 1776 in Groningen. Uit dit huwelijk worden nog een zoon en een dochter geboren:
1. Geert Gerrits, gedoopt op 6 juni 1777.
2. Jantje Gerrits, gedoopt op 5 maart 1779.
