In het Doop- en trouwboek Midwolde en Leek 1702-1811, Inventarisnummer 297, folio 067 staat de registratie vermeld en het huwelijk van Derk Pieters, van Kleine Breugel, en Aukie Jans, van Leek. Het huwelijk wordt gesloten door dom. Zonslijfer. Er wordt slechts één kind (Jenneke) gedoopt in Midwolde waarbij de ouders worden vermeld als Derk Peters en Auke Jans; Een kind met de voornaam Maria is helaas niet vindbaar in 'Alle Groningers'. Vermoedelijk is zij geboren als tweede kind in 1730 of later. Op 8 september 1735 wordt in Groningen een dochter van Theodorus Peeters en Auke Jans gedoopt in de katholieke kerk aan de Pausgang; hierbij is de getuige Margaritha Jacobs.
