    Jurrien Jurriens Voorsmit, zoon van Jurrien Voorsmit en Margretha Jans, schoutsdienaar, wonende Groningen (Grn), is geboren rond 1692.
    In de Groninger Archieven is daarvan niets te vinden wat er ook maar enigszins op lijkt.
    Daar hij zijn eerste dochter Annigjen noemt, die zoals gebruikelijk genoemd wordt naar de moeder van de vader is Annetje Joostens, Annetje Jurgens c.q. Anneije meer voor de hand liggend als moeder van Jurjen Jurjens en zou hij dus geboren zijn in 1695 aan de Kleine Kromme Elleboog en gedoopt zijn op 20 augustus 1695 in de Grote Kerk in Groningen. Zijn ouders worden vermeld als Jurjen Jurjens en Anneije. Bij zijn huwelijk in 1724 is hij dan 29 jaar, een niet ongebruikelijke leeftijd voor jonge mannen in die tijd om te trouwen.
    Hij is in ieder geval overleden na 1745 (huwelijk dochter Annigjen, waarvoor hij de registratie doet).

Het huwelijk wordt op zondag 31 oktober 1724 bevestigd door ds Abbringhe in de Nieuwe Kerk in Groningen.
Trijntje is geboren bij de Drie Meulens (Molens) eind 1699 en gedoopt op 1 januari 1700 in de A-kerk in Groningen.
