In het Register van huwelijkscontrcten van Westerwolde en Bellingwold word t op 13 juli 1731 het huwelijkscontract vermeld van Cornellis Boelens en Geeske Jans, waarbij aanwezig zijn van bruidegomszijde Jan Boelens, broer en van bruidszijde Teubke Jans, zuster. Kornelius Boeles wordt bij de registratie van de doop van zijn negen kinderen vermeld met de naam Kornelius Boelmans (5x), Kornelius Boelems (3x) en Cornelis Boeles.
