Op 2 maart 1712 wordt in de Nieuwe Kerk in Groningen het huwelijk voltrokken door ds L.Bieruma.
Bij de doop van hun twee dochters worden ze vermeld als Jan Joesten en Aeghtie Mattijs en als Jan Jolens en Agnata Matthias.
