Notes about ds. Pieter van Oordt
Hij bezocht van 1713 tot 1718 de Latijnse school te Middelburg en verliet deze na een oratie in de Engelse Kerk aldaar op 5 augustus 1718. Op 30 september d.a.v. werd hij ingeschreven als theologisch student te Leiden. Theol. candidaat 13 juli 1722; bevestigd te IJzendijke 19 december 1723. Hij was schrijver van de oudste familiekroniek. Deze kroniek werd na zijn dood voortgezet door zijn vader Hendrick van Oordt (V). Terwijl hij in Middelburg bij zijn ouders logeerde, kwam hij na een predikbeurt te Vlissingen op 20 juni 1730 met hoge koorts terug en overleed twee dagen later.
