President-commissaris van de N.V. Petroleum Persgasfabriek te Voorburg. Postuum werd hem het Verzetsherdenkingskruis toegekend, omdat hij in de oorlog werkte voor een falsificatiebureau voor persoonsbewijzen, stempels e.d. Op 21 december 1983 mocht zijn weduwe dit ereteken uit handen van Z.K.H. Prins Bernhard, in aanwezigheid van H.K.H. Prinses Juliana, ontvangen.
