Woonde te Woudenberg, aan de "Wetering", van beroep landbouwer. Schepen te Woudenberg (1729).

* Jan Thijsz koopt na zijn huwelijk met Merritje de hofstede Ginckel aan de Wetering. Op 5-12-1707 wordt hij genoemd als eigenaar van het Verloren Land te Scherpenzeel. Erft in 1715 1/6 deel van een huis en hof op de Wetering van schijn schoonouders en gaat in 1727 een deling aan van een huis aan de Groep (Leersum) met zijn halfzuster Grietje Jans van Egdom.

Oud-Scherpenzeel:
Jan Tijssen van Ginckel beleend door opdracht van Hendrick van Geijtenbeeck namens Hendrick van Hees met twee morgen land genaamd Het Verloren Lant, gekocht op 12-02-1707. (Leenboek Huis Scherpenzeel 143, fol. 63; 05-12-1707).
Lambert Jansen van Ginkel beleend na dode van zijn vader Jan Tijssen van Ginkel met twee morgen land genaamd Het Verlooren Lant. Belendingen als 31-08-1707, behalve noord: Heer van Lijchtenberg. (Leenboek Huis Scherpenzeel 144, fol. 50; 11-06-1737).
In 1716, 1719, 1725 en 1735 is Jan Thijssen van Ginkel eigenaar (in 1735 ook bruiker) van 12 ½ morgen in Slappendel op de Wetering (Oudschildgeld Woudenberg 1a)
Meeuws Willemsen, op de Wetering verkoopt aan Jan Thijssen van Ginkel al zijn roerende goederen, o.a. twee paarden, vier koeien, een varken en alle boerengereedschap en gewassen, wegens huurschulden aan de koper. Meeuws Willemsen mag de meubels op de voorheert houden, voorts enig hout en plaggen. Knecht: Theunis Hermensz. (Recht. Arch. Woudenberg 2346, fol. 110, 110vo, 111, 111vo; 15-08-1730).
In 1745 is de weduwe van Jan Thijssen van Ginkel eigenaar van 12 ½ morgen in Slappendel op de Wetering (Oudschildgeld Woudenberg 1a).
