    LifeSketch: Van Henri Joseph (Harrie de Tuinman) is algemeen bekend dat hij een technisch begaafd man was en bovendien zeer bereisd. Als monteur werkte hij bij een bagger en bruggenbouwbedrijf, vóór WO1. Tijdens het uitbreken van de eerste wereldoorlog was hij toevallig met verlof in Megchelen en kon hij niet terug naar Afrika, waar hij met een opdracht bezig was. Hij bleef toen maar in Megchelen en bouwde een woning van zijn verdiende duitse geld. Zijn broer Gert was inmiddels overleden en Harrie huwde met de weduwe Gesina Krues. Ook Gesina overleed na korte tijd aan TBC, evenals zijn hulp in de huishouding. Kort na het overlijden van Gesina huwde hij opnieuw, nu met Elisabeth Klein, een zus van de echtgenoot van zijn broer Herman. Het boomkwekersvak leerde hij nog van zijn vader.ns het uitbreken van de eerste wereldoorlog was hij toevallig met verlof in Megchelen en kon hij niet terug naar Afrika, waar hij met een opdracht bezig was.
