Ten jare duizend acht honderd zeven en tachtig, den twaalfden october ten twee ure namiddag, zijn voor ons Matheus Van Mierlo, schepen gedelegeerden Ambtenaar van den Burgerlijken Stand der gemeente Bornhem, provincie Antwerpen, openbaarlijk ten gemeente-huize verschenen, ter eene zijde:
Victor De bruyn, daglooner woonachtig in deze gemeente en hier geboren den zevenden meert achttien honderd twee en zestig, wettigen meerderjarigen zoon van Carolus Ludovicus De bruyn, overleden te Bornhem den twaalfden mei achttien honderd twee en zestig en van Constantia Suykens ook overleden te Bornhem den acht en twintigsten juli achttien honderd twee en tachtig, blijkens de extrakten uit de akten van geboorte en overlijdens hierbij gevoegd, de voorouders zijn insgelijks overleden, ingevolge voormelde extrakten van overlijdens.
En ter andere zijde:
Virginia Byl, dagloonster woonachtig in deze gemeente en hier geboren den vier en twintigsten november achttien honderd vijf en zestig, blijkens het extrakt uit den akt van geboorte hierbij gevoegd, wettige meerderjarige dochter van Carolus Ludovicus Byl, oud drij en vijftig jaren en van Isabella Kerremans, oud een en vijftig jaren daglooners wonende in deze gemeente, hier tegenwoordig en toestemmende in het huwelijk van hunne dochter.
Welke comparantan ons hebben aanzocht over te gaan tot het sluiten des Huwelijks tusschen hen beraamd en waarvan de afkondigingen en aanplakkingen zijn gedaan geweest op de daartoe bestemde plaats in deze gemeente op de zondagen van den tweeden en de negenden der loopende maand october.
Geene tegenkanting ons wegens dit Huwelijk beteekend zijnde, recht doende aan het gemelde verzoek, na aan de partijen en getuigen te hebben voorgelezen al de stukken ten dezes vereischt, alsmede het zesde hoofdstuk des vijfden titels van het burgerlijk wetboek over de wederzijdsche rechten en verplichtingen der echtgenooten, hebben wij gevraagd aan den toekommenden bruidegom en aan de toekommende bruid of zij zich willen nemen voor man en vrouw; ieder van hen, in het bijzonder, bevestigend geantwoord hebbende, hebben wij verklaard in den naam van de wet, dat door het Huwelijk vereeningd zijn Victor De bruyn en Virginia Byl.
Onmiddelijk hebben de parijen contractanten ons verklaard dat er tusschen hen geene huwelijksvoorwaarden door notaris zijn ontvangen.
Waarvan wij dezen akt hebben opgesteld in de tegenwoordigheid van Prosper Vercauteren, beenhouwer, oud vier en dertig jaren, Alexander Cornelis, oud een en vijftig jaren, Leopoldus Van tricht, oud negen en twintig jaren, beide schoenmakers en Michael Pauwels, daglooner, oud vijftig jaren, alle vier kennissen van den bruidegom en de bruid woonachtig in deze gemeente.
En hebben de getuigen dezen akt met ons geteekend, de bruidegom, de bruid en hare ouders hebben verklaard niet te kunnen schrijven, bij gebrek van geleerdheid, na gedane voorlezing.
