Notitie Jan van Dijk
Op de dag van haar begrafenis is haar broer Jan (de timmerman) op het kerkhof overleden ten gevolge van een hartstilstand. Ma van Dijk was aanwezig tijdens de begrafenis van haar tante Aaltje (zij was genoemd naar deze zuster van opa ten Kleij). Ik was bij pa aan boord gebleven en wij lagen in Sneek te lossen. Toen ma 's avonds aan boord kwam en huilend aan pa van Dijk vertelde dat ome Jan (de timmerman) was overleden en hoe dat nou moest met de vakantie, die de week daarop volgend gepland stond, antwoordde pa: dan gaan we vanaf de camping naar de begrafenis.En zo geschiedde het dat pa met zijn "begrafenispak" op vakantie ging
