    Funeral held at Hospers Tuesday

    Funeral services for John Hulst, Sr., were held Tuesday at the Presbyterian church in Hospers. Hulst, 79. died last Friday at his residence, following three months illness.

    Rev. Henry Rikkers officiated at funeral services, and burial was in West cemetery.

    Born in 1880 in the Netherlands, Hulst came to the United States at the age of 4 years with his family, who settled in Hospers. He was married to Allie Romberg in 1910. She preceded him in death.

    Survivors include seven sons, Ralph of Hospers, Henry of Artesia, Cal., Warden of Columbia, S. C., Herman of San Diego, Cal., John. Jr.. of Bellflower, Cal., Nick of Paullina and Ellion at Hospers; four daughters, Mrs.

    Kenneth Kline of Bellflower, Mrs. Don Shaver of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Joe Reuter of Hospers and Mrs. Bert Kooiman of Norwalk, Cal.; 32 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

    Hulst was a charter member of the Hospers Presbyterian Church.
