MOBILE REGISTER 15 FEB 1917

Mrs Kate S Hitchcock

Mrs Kate Selina Hitchcock, widow of John A Hitchcock, who during his day was a well
known attorney of this city and at one time judge of the probate of Mobile County, died
yesterday afternoon at her home, 929 Dauphin Street. She was born at Cincinnati OH,
September 1, 1828, and came to this city when a young girl. Her parents were Charles
Wood and Clementina Lee Gazzam, who were prominent residents of Mobile. Deceased is
survived by one brother, Charles W Gazzam, several nieces and nephews, among them
being Mrs H G G Donald, Miss Lena Gazzam and other relatives.

HITCHCOCK - Died Wednesday afternoon, February 14, 1917, Catherine Selina

Hitchcock, relict of the late John Hitchcock, in the eighty-ninth year of her age.

The friends of the family are requested to attend her funeral from the residence of her
brother, Charles Gazzam, 929 Dauphin Street, this (Thursday) afternoon at 4 o'clock.

Interment in Magnolia Cemetery.
