Nadat haar broer Willem in 866 in conflict met Karel was gedood, verliet zij Karel en trok zich terug in de abdij van Hasnon. Zij was beroemd om haar borduurwerk. Ze ligt begraven in de Kathedraal van Saint-Denis.
