Berend trouwt in op hoeve Horenhuis / Heurenhuis / Hörenhuijs / Hörenhúijs / Hörenhûijs.
Mogelijk heeft Berend eerst op de hoeve Dierselman gewerkt en komt zijn alias Berend Dierselhuis daar vandaan. In bron "Genealogie Dierselhuis" trouwt Berend Dierselman in 1676 met Aelken Ottinkhof (hier de achternamen verwisseld!).
De hoeve (erve) Dierselman wordt in 1601 voor een deel verwoest hetgeen te wijten is aan de 80 jarige oorlog, en de veldtocht van prins Maurits naar de graafschap Lingen. Bij de doop van zoon Gerrijt Jan in 1678 wordt Lambert ten Hörenhuis als vader vermeld. Lambert Heurenhuis wordt verder nergens vermeld; Lambert moet dus wel Berend zijn. De namen Lambert en Berend werden vaker door elkaar gebruikt.
