REF: child of Zachariah [447] Stidham - He was listed wit h Zachariah [447] in
the 1867 voter registration list for Prect. 3 of Commanch e Co., Texas. The
list showed both Zachariah [447] and Zachariah M. lived i n Texas 15 years, and
in Comanche Co. 9 years. They were undoubtly from the sam e family. He signed
his "Parole of Honor" on June 30, 1865 as "Marion Stidham".

The 1864 Scholastic Census of Smith Co., Texas lists Henr y N., Benjamin F.,
Zach Marion, James, and William.

MILITARY: CSA; Company O serving under Cpt. P.D. Turner. B efore, he served in
Company 7, 3rd Regiment of the Arizona Brigade under Col. J . Phillips. He
enlisted at San Saba, Texas on Nov. 1, 1862 for the duratio n of the Civil War.
On January 1, 1863, he was a 20 year old private in Capt. P .D. Turner's
Company, 3rd Battalion Arizona Brigade, Mounted Partisan Ra ngers, Madison.s
Reg't Cav., Texas (REF: his Civil War records, researched b y Larry Golden of
Cypress, Texas.)

RES: Scatter Branch between Greenville and
Commerce, Hunt Co., Texas. (REF: Louise Stidham Cowan of Fa rmers Branch, Texas).

He was reportedly an American Indian, and killed by America n Indians.

DEATH: died before his daughter, Mindy, was born in 1878 . - REF: Elva Bizzell
