Op 22 juni 1901 nam hij ontslag en ging met zijn gezin wonen in Rotterdam Nieuwe Binnenweg 622. Gebrek aan leiderschap aan zijn kant en heimwee aan haar kant maakten dat ze op 30 maart 1906 verhuisden naar de Schurinksdwarsweg 25 te Enschede. Vervolgens op 1 januari 1907 naar de Lipperkerkstraat 267a te Enschede (Op de dag dat hun dochter Truus stierf??)
16 juli 1909 verhuisden ze van Enschede naar Hengelo (Berfloweg 34 later naar 76). Op 2 januari 1923 verhuizing nar de Steenbakkersweg 18 en op 18 september 1934 naar de Haaksbergerstraat 55 (later hernoemd tot Industriestraat 59).

They got married on May 6, 1898 at Weerselo (Ov), she was 25 years old.

They were married in church on May 12, 1898 at Hengelo, she was 25 years old.

Notes about Geertrui "Trui" KOSTERINK

Trui was een hardwerkende - zorgzame en een diepgelovige vrouw voor het gezin. Het was moeilijk om het gezin staande te houden, vooral in crisisjaren van 1930. Zij moest vaak het geld dat ze ontving verstoppen, omdat mijn grootvader het wel op kon aan een borreltje.voor het gezin.
Het gezin werd al vroeg getroffen door verdriet. Ze verloor op 3 jarige leeftijd haar dochter Truus en later nog twee zoons. Johan verdronk op 17 jarige leeftijd in de putten van steenbakkers bedrijf Overbeek. Adriaan hun jongste zoon overleed op 16 jarige leeftijd aan kroep.
Door haar geloof in God bleef ze staande, dat was haar kracht. Geregeld bezocht zij de St.Ludgerus kerk om het verdriet in alle stilte te verwerken. Gerard, zoon van Piet van de Laak, was de lieveling van het gezin. Geregeld kwam hij op bezoek vanuit Stadskanaal en Winschoten. Hij werd aan de conducteur afgegeven. Toentertijd liep er een treinverbinding tussen Stadskaal en Hengelo. Op het station in Hengelo werd hij dan weer opgevangen.
Op latere leeftijd toen hun kleinzoon Gerard (geb. 1926), in januari 1947 voor zijn nummer werd uitgezonden naar het voormalig Nederlands-Indië, werd door zijn oma dagelijks een tientje van de rozenkrans gebeden voor zijn behouden terugkeer.
In februari 1950,op de terugreis uit Indonesië overleed zij op 78 jarige leeftijd.
Haar taak was volbracht.
