Toen Sijbel (voluit: Sijbrigje) in 1914 met Rieks (voluit: Hendrikus) trouwde had zij Fokke al. Fokke is geboren in Leens op 04-01-1909 (overleden Groningen, 1985).
Zijn vader was een Belgische gastarbeider, die met de noorderzon is vertrokken, toen hij hoorde dat Sijbel zwanger was.
Rieks wilde Fokke niet erkennen en Fokke groeide op bij zijn grootouders.
