Notes about Karel "Karel" Luberti

Karel Luberti was een kleurijke figuur in onze familie, eigenlijk een beetje het zwarte schaap. Hij trouwde pas met zijn vrouw toen zijn zoon al 6 jaar was. Er gingen de nodige verhalen over hem rond in onze familie.
Ik heb oom Karel diverse keren ontmoet en vond hem heel aardig en interessant. Ik zag hem voor het eerst bij de begrafenis van zijn broer, mijn opa. Daarna heb ik hem een aantal keren bezocht in zijn huis aan de Meerweg 12 in Bussum. Hij woonde daar zeer teruggetrokken samen met Elly Tamminga (kunstschilderes). Zij woonden in een grote verwaarloosde villa die vol hing met schilderijen.
Toen Karel overleed vond zijn zoon Bertus fotoboeken waaruit bleek dat zijn vader nog een tweede gezin had in Utrecht. Dit vertelde de weduwe van Bertus in de jaren 90 aan mij. In 2010 werd ik benaderd door Mariette Walraven, zij is de moeder van Simone Walraven, bekend van televisie. Mariette vertelde mij dat Karel Luberti haar vader was en dat ook haar 2 inmiddels overleden zussen waarschijnlijk van Karel waren. Haar moeder Mimi Walraven-Weber had jarenlang een relatie met Karel.
Ze had vele foto's die bewezen dat ze de waarheid sprak.
