Albert Jan, Jr. “John” and Manus Jacobus “Jake were born in Zutphen. Records indicate the family left Gelderland Province in 1872. Hendrik Jan “Henry”, Willem Mienus “Bill” and Marinus were all born in Chicago. (No record has been found in Chicago birth records.) Two daughters, both named Willemina, were both born and died on rhe farm just north of Alton, Iowa.
