Notes about Margrietha Josenia BOER

1) Emigrated to the US when she was fourteen years old.
2) Father died when she was three years old
3) Margareith's father and a brother disappeared at sea in 1875/1876.
4) Margreitha was most likely named after two people, Margien Reints Nieboer and a mother in law to Josina who was Jantzie's sister. Reason: John Reints died after three years of marriage and had no children. Perhaps Margreith was named after this mother-in-law/sister (aunt to M), rather than grandmother and mother. Other family research indicates that after her father did not return home for some time, the family lived in poverty. Margreitha went to live with this sister until she emigrated to the USA with her own family.
