    According to the US 1860 Census, Floris Hendrikse was 77 years old and living with his daughter Cornelia and her husband Jacob Rinsis in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. Cornelia and Jacob had 7 children living with them: Elizabeth Rinsis, Florius Rinsis, William Rinsis, Apolonia Rinsis, Cornelia Rinsis, Jacob Rinsis and John Rinsis. John was 2 years old at the time and he is my great grandfather. John was born in the US but I think all of the other children were born in Holland. The name changed to Rensis somewhere along the line. John Rensis married Vina Walters and they had two daughters, Lucille and Cornelia. Cornelia was my grandmother.
    There is no mention of Apolonia, the mother so I wonder if he emigrated to the US after she died. I believe he emigrated in 1848.
