    Haar twee kinderen uit haar huwelijk met Arye Oorbersz. ofwel het nageslacht van de zoon noemden zich in ieder geval (de) Winter, dus behoorden zij tot de stam Van der Wael/Hoogvliet/van Engeland/de Winter.
    De mogelijkheid blijft dus wel aanwezig dat de naam (de) Winter vanuit vrouwelijke lijn op haar nageslacht is ‘overgesprongen’, maar daar weten we niets over zolang we niet zijn ingelicht wie haar ouders en naaste familieleden waren.
    Pas als weduwe lijkt Mayken met haar zoon vanuit Hoogvliet naar Oud Beijerland gekomen te zijn en in de 17e eeuw zegt de naam (de) Winter op of rond Hoogvliet mij niets.
