    Maria van Driel was in de zevende generatie een nazaat van Doen Beijetisx., doch wordt niet meer in de Geslachtboom vermeld. Zij was in de vijfde graad een achternicht van haar man. Haar moeder was echter
    ook een zuster van de stiefmoeder van Leendert Welhouck, zodat de familiebanden ook nauwer lagen. Op 13 jan. 1692 kocht Leendert Pieterse Welhoeck van- zijn schoonmoeder Trijntje Jans Kooijer, weduw; van Huijbert Jansen van Driel een woning met 6 gemeten bij Piershil. Diverse malen wordt hij vermeld als koper en pachter van landerijen, o.a. in Nieuw Piershil en Eendrachtspolder. Als een der weinige leden van zijn geslacht werd hij pro deo begraven. Wellicht woonde hij de laatste jaren van zijn leven bij verwanten in of nabij Poortugaal. Eventuele kinderen zijn niet bekend; in elk geval stierf hij zonder nageslacht

    Not. archief Piershil 6826, 7 maart 1682: Leendert Pieters Welhouck pacht ca. 13 morgen in Eendrachtspolder, laatst gepacht door Bastiaen Jansen van Driel.
    idem 6827, 21 april 1697: Hij pacht ca. 11 gemeten. r.a. Piershil no. 5, 23 april 1698: Leendert Pieterse Welhoeck koopt 5 gemeten 80 roe. Op 15 mei 1700 koopt hij ca. 15 morgen in Nieuw Piershil en op 21 mei 1700 ca. 11 gemeten. Op 5 november 1708 is hij f 3000,- schuldig
