    1. DIVERSEN
      Een luchtfoto uit 1953 laat de keuterij van Tinus Cuijpers (in de volksmond uitgesproken als K üpers) en zijn vrouw Trui Impermann van dichtbij zien. Tinus kocht dit huisje "op den berg" in 1919 van Poppe Nöl (Nölleke Janssen). Deze laatste moet het huis een tiental jaren daarvoor gebouwd hebben op een stuk grond, dat hij van Petjes Driekus gekocht had. Poppe Nöl, die haringboer was en in het huisje waar zijn broer Poppe Lin op de Smelenberg woonde, moet zijn geboren kon het met zijn grote kinderschare van 15 kinderen niet meer in Milsbeek bolwerken. Hij zocht werk bij Philips en ging in Eindhoven wonen.

      Tinus, die geboren was in Milsbeek aan de Rijksweg (in het huis van Bless), woonde op dat moment aan de Nijmeegseweg in Gennep tegenover "De Kwets". Zijn moeder woonde in bij Schèrzien(Jan Laracker). Toen deze overleed werd zijn huis bij opbod verkocht. Tinus en Dries Wientjes moeten daarbij tegen elkaar opgeboden hebben. Op een gegeven moment moet Wevers Gert (Gerrit Derksen), die op de verkoop naast hem zat, Tinus in het oor gefluisterd hebben dat hij maar beter op kon houden en dat hij wel iets voor een betere prijs wist. Binnen een half uur was vervolgens het huis van Poppe Nöl voor fl 1.000,-- gekocht.

      Tinus ging er op aan het boeren en bouwde, vooral aan de overzijde van de weg, zijn bedrijf uit. Vier kippenhokken, een schuur en een maishut werden gebouwd op de hei, die hij voor de prijs van fl 2,50 per jaar gehuurd had van de gemeente.

      Op de foto is nog mooi het oude tracé van de weg te zien. Bij de ruilverkaveling werd dit veranderd en achter de bebouwing gelegd.

      Aan de overzijde van de weg gaf de gemeente bouwterreinen uit.

      Leo Derks kocht het eerste voor een prijs van fl 0,25 per vierkante meter aan de weg en fl 0,10 per vierkante meter voor het er achtergelegen gedeelte.

      Het huisje van Tinus is nog steeds aanwezig en op zich niet veel veranderd. Het wordt thans bewoond door zijn dochter Martha en haar man Frans Kamps.
