In parochie Duistervoorde leefden in ieder geval twee verschillende Willem Willems / Wilms.
De ene was gehuwd met Aaltje Gerrits en de andere met Mechtildis Berents. De kinderen van beide ouderparen zijn in de zelfde periode gedoopt. Na een weekeinde zoeken ben ik er zo goed als zeker van dat de Willem die met Mechel getrouwd was geen directe relatie heeft met de familie die zich later Straatman heeft genoemd.
