    Mrs. Evelyn Honcoop of Lynden died at St. Joseph Hospital on Friday,April 3, 2004. She was 70.

    Evelyn was a daughter of Dewey and Grace (Bruninck) Van Der Stoep andwas born in Sedro Woolley on Dec. 11, 1933. She was married to MauriceJ. Honcoop in Lynden on Feb. 15, 1952.

    A homemaker, Evelyn was a member of the Everson Christian ReformedChurch (now Faith Christian Fellowship) and enjoyed cooking, reading,playing piano, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.

    Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband in 1999 and a brother, DeweyVan Der Stoep Jr.

    She is survived by her children, Jeannie and husband Darryl Likkel ofLynden, Sharlene "Chuckie" and husband Keith Broers of Everett, KathyGraybeal of Lynden, Larry and wife Debbie Honcoop of Nooksack, Maureen"Dusty" Honcoop of Lynden and Christine and husband Kirk Blankenship ofSedro Woolley; 14 grandchildren and a great-grandchild; sisters Beulahand husband Ike Honcoop of Lynden, Henrietta and husband Leroy Weber ofMoses Lake and Grace and husband Trenton VanDiest of Bellingham; andnumerous other relatives.

    Graveside services were conducted on Wednesday, April 7, at 10 a.m. inMonumenta Cemetery followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. in FaithChristian Fellowship in Everson with Pastor Tom Haan officiating.

    Memorials may be made to the Alpha Course at Faith Christian Fellowship,109 W. Third St., Everson, WA 98247.
