    Beulah Helen Honcoop went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 21, 2014. Beulah was born August 26, 1931 to Dewey and Grace (Brunink) Van Der Stoep. In her early years, she enjoyed playing the trumpet which grew into a love for music. Beulah was a member of the first graduating class at Lynden Christian High School in 1949. She married Arie "Ike" Honcoop October 6, 1950 at the First Christian Reformed Church in Lynden and together they operated a dairy farm until 1980. Beulah was active in many areas at Second Christian Reformed Church as well as Lions Club and Camp Horizon. She loved camping and fishing trips with her family and taking photographs. Beulah was preceded in death by her daughter Trudy; brother Dewey Van Der Stoep; sister Evelyn Honcoop; and granddaughter Janelle Honcoop. Beulah is survived by husband Arie "Ike" Honcoop; two sons Dewey (Lori) Honcoop and Arvin (Virginia) Honcoop; one daughter Brenda (James) Collins; two sisters Henrietta (Leroy) Weber and Grace Van Diest; 18 grandchildren; numerous great- grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Cascade Connections, cascadechristianservices.org or The Christian Health Care Center, 855 Aaron Dr., Lynden, WA 98264. A time of Visitation is set from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, Friday, November 28, 2014 at Gillies Funeral Home. A graveside service will be 1:15 PM, Monday, December 1, 2014 at Monumenta Cemetery, followed by a 2:00 PM memorial service at Second Christian Reformed Church, 710 Front St., Lynden, WA. You are invited to share your condolences and memories in the online guestbook at www.gilliesfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are entrusted to Gillies Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Lynden. -

Arie (Ike) and Beulah Honcoop are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married on Oct. 6, 1950, in First Christian Reformed Church of Lynden. Ike and Beulah have four children, 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. They continue to enjoy fishing whenever possible and celebrated their anniversary with a family camping trip.
