De ouders van hem zijn afgeleid uit de gegevens bij de geboorte van zijn zoon Gerhardt op 3 Janauri 1713 in Leiden, waar bij de doop ingeschreven staat dat Gerhardt kind is van Laurens (Louis) Gerhartz (Gerritsz).

Op 21-09-1731 wordt in het kadaster het huis bezit aan de Nicolaasgragt ingeschreven. De inschrijving is in het familie-archief onder 04227-P20.jpg
