Relatie met de familie Hobers
Geertruids opa Gerrit Martens hertrouwt een half jaar na het overlijden van zijn eerste vrouw met Jannigjen Hobers. Er komen nog vier kinderen bij. In 1839 overlijdt opa Gerrit Martens. Vrij kort daarna dreigt Jannigjen Hobers haar huis in brand te steken. Zij wordt daarom naar het krankzinnigengesticht in Deventer gebracht. Ze brengt een groot deel van haar leven daar door. Hier eindigt deze tak van de stamboom Hobers
Als ik alle (aangetrouwde) nakomelingen van stamvader Jan Hobers in deze stamboom zou opnemen, levert dat een enorme hoeveelheid namen op. Dit bevordert echter niet de leesbaarheid. Ik kies er daarom voor, bij een naamsverandering (Hobers> Martens) te stoppen met deze tak van de stamboom.
