Aantekening van Edske Foppes (1915): Alie, de derde dochter (van Harmke en Lonsain) (geb. 1892)trouwde een weduwnaar, JO JANSEN, reiziger in sigaren met een kind, Bep, zij hadden jarenlang een sigarenzaak aan de Brinkgreverweg. Bep kreeg een onwettig kind, een aardige jongen, HANS, maar helaas doof geboren. Hij werkt op een sociale werkplaats. Bep heeft (met veel ijver) de kost moeten verdienen als medisch-analyste aan een ziekenhuis in Deventer. Ze is zeer verknocht aan haar huisdieren, die ieder jaar met de Kerstwensen van hun goede voornemens kond doen!
