    Nadat de beide broers Cornelis Beket (doop 02-02-1727 Almkerk, overl. 20-03-1775 Rotterdam) en Salomon Beket (doop 05-10-1732 Almkerk, overl. 18-04-1809 Sommelsdijk) is het duidelijk slecht gegaan met de familie. Anna heeft naar mijn idee een moeilijk leven gehad. Eerst dienstbaar waarvoor ze waarschijnlijk ooit naar Amsterdam is vertrokken, later als soldatenlief langs diverse garnizoensplaatsen met steeds meer kinderen en tenslotte als mw. Van Rijkhuizen ook weer op kazernes gewoond. Dit zal zeker geen luxe leven zijn geweest. Ik heb altijd een gevoel van medelijden met haar gehad.

    Haar vader was heelmeester (chirurgijn) op een dorp. Zal daar toch wel enige status hebben gehad. Gijsbert heeft wel een keer moeten verschijnen voor de tuchtraad in Dordrecht. Hierover moet ik nog meer gegevens zien te verzamelen, mogelijk bij het archief in Dordrecht.
